La Semana Santa de 2025 en nuestra localidad se celebrará del 13 al 20 de abril, con actos que permitirán a los sajeños y foráneos disfrutar de una de las fiestas más destacadas del año.
Las cofradías de la Soledad, del Cristo de la Buena Muerte, de los Dolores y de Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno protagonizan los actos más significativos, que se celebran el Jueves Santo, con la Misa de la Cena del Señor y la Procesión del Santo Encuentro, y el Viernes Santo, con el Santo Vía Crucis, los Santos Oficios de la Pasión del Señor y la Procesión del Santo Entierro.
El pasado sábado 15 de marzo en un sencillo pero emotivo acto, se presentaba en Sax el Cartel para la Semana Santa 2025, a través de una foto de José López Giménez, plasmando un momento importante de nuestra Semana Santa sajeña.
En el mismo acto se homenajeaba a José Antonio Villaplana por su trayectoria y aportación a la Semana Santa de Sax, con su trabajo y esfuerzo con Banda de Cornetas y Tambores de la Junta Mayor de Cofradías. En el acto pudimos disfrutar de la música de grupo que amenizaron el acto.
Hay que recordar que ya la Cuaresma comenzaba el pasado miércoles de Ceniza 5 de marzo, que permite establecer el tiempo de penitencia, con los 40 días hasta llegar al Domingo de Resurrección. También se celebraba otro de los actos importantes el besa pies del Nazareno, el viernes 7 de marzo, con la música de la Colla los Amigos.
Las actividades religiosas irán sucediéndose en la Parroquia Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, asi por las principales vías de la localidad.
Sax celebrará la Semana Santa del 13 al 20 de abril siendo el tiempo más importante del calendario litúrgico para los cristianos católicos porque se celebra la pasión, la muerte y la resurrección de Jesucristo, los misterios centrales de la fe. El Domingo de Ramos día 13 de abril será la jornada inaugural de la Semana Santa, donde cientos de personas llenaran las principales calles de la localidad en el recorrido de la procesión con la imagen de Jesús Triunfante. Durante una semana se llevarán a cabo diferentes actos y el Domingo de Resurrección, día 20 de abril se celebrará la Procesión del Encuentro.
Holy Week 2025 in our town will be celebrated from April 13th to 20th, with events that will allow Sax residents and outsiders to enjoy one of the most important festivals of the year.

Last Saturday, March 15th, in a simple but moving event, the poster for Holy Week 2025 was presented in Sax, through a photo by José López Giménez, capturing an important moment of our Holy Week in Sax.
At the same event, José Antonio Villaplana was honored for his career and contribution to Holy Week in Sax, thanks to his work and dedication with the Cornet and Drum Band of the Junta Mayor de Cofradías (Major Board of Brotherhoods). At the event, we were able to enjoy the music of the group that enlivened the event.
It’s worth remembering that Lent began last Ash Wednesday, March 5th, which marks the beginning of the penitential period, with the 40 days leading up to Easter Sunday. Another important event was also held, the kissing of the feet of the Nazarene, on Friday, March 7th, with the music of the Colla los Amigos (Friends’ Group).
The religious activities will take place at the Parish of Our Lady of the Assumption, as well as along the town’s main streets.
Sax will celebrate Holy Week from April 13 to 20, being the most important time of the liturgical calendar for Catholic Christians because it celebrates the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the central mysteries of the faith. Palm Sunday, April 13, will be the opening day of Holy Week, where hundreds of people will fill the main streets of the town in the procession route with the image of Jesus Triumphant. During a week, different events will be held and on Easter Sunday, April 20, the Procession of the Encounter will be held.
