Desde el pasado15 de noviembre, el equipo de voluntarios de Magic Eagle está proporcionando miles de kilos de suministros para brindar asistencia a las organizaciones y voluntarios en Valencia, afectados por las inundaciones generadas por este fenómeno.
Los voluntarios se trasladan semanalmente a las zonas afectadas para distribuir las donaciones provenientes de quienes contribuyen desinteresadamente a BIOPARC, con el propósito de apoyar la rehabilitación de los refugios a lo largo del fin de semana.
Los animales han sufrido y continúan sufriendo graves consecuencias a causa de los efectos devastadores de esta DANA. Para asistirles, se ha implementado una compleja operativa que abarca salvamento, rescate y atención veterinaria, en la cual han intervenido equipos profesionales y voluntarios. El Hospital Clínico Veterinario de la CEU UCH, el Colegio de Veterinarios de Valencia y BIOPARC están llevando a cabo una parte significativa de esta labor en estrecha colaboración con la Conselleria de Medio Ambiente, Agua, Infraestructuras y Territorio, mientras que la Asociación Magic Eagle actúa como colaborador activo en el transporte de los alimentos.
El objetivo de la asociación Magic Eagle se centra en ofrecer recursos fundamentales para el bienestar de los animales que se hallan en situaciones de vulnerabilidad, a causa de las intensas lluvias. En el proceso de recolección, se otorga prioridad a la alimentación especializada (renal, libre de cereales, de convalecencia, entre otras), a los fármacos veterinarios, así como a toallas y mantas. Asimismo, se contemplan transportines que aseguran el traslado seguro de los animales, productos de limpieza que garantizan la higiene en los refugios, herramientas destinadas a reparaciones urgentes y arena para gatos.
En los términos expresados por Javier Benlloch Cordón, delegado de Magic Eagle en Valencia, “los animales en tales condiciones dependen plenamente del respaldo que podamos ofrecerles. Las entidades de protección animal y los voluntarios en Valencia están llevando a cabo un esfuerzo formidable para rescatar y cuidar a los animales damnificados, y cualquier tipo de colaboración, por más ínfima que pueda parecer, tiene el potencial de generar un impacto considerable».
Since November 15, the Magic Eagle volunteer team has been providing thousands of kilos of supplies to assist organizations and volunteers in Valencia affected by the floods caused by this phenomenon.
Volunteers travel weekly to the affected areas to distribute donations from those who selflessly contribute to BIOPARC, with the purpose of supporting the rehabilitation of the shelters throughout the weekend.

The CEU UCH Veterinary Clinical Hospital, the College of Veterinarians of Valencia and BIOPARC are carrying out a significant part of this work in close collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Water, Infrastructure and Territory, while the Magic Eagle Association acts as an active collaborator in the transport of food.
The aim of the Magic Eagle association is to offer essential resources for the well-being of animals that are in vulnerable situations due to the heavy rains. In the collection process, priority is given to specialized food (renal, grain-free, convalescent, among others), veterinary drugs, as well as towels and blankets. Also contemplated are carriers that ensure the safe transport of animals, cleaning products that guarantee hygiene in shelters, tools for urgent repairs and cat litter.
In the words of Javier Benlloch Cordón, Magic Eagle delegate in Valencia, “animals in such conditions fully depend on the support we can offer them. Animal protection entities and volunteers in Valencia are carrying out a formidable effort to rescue and care for the affected animals, and any type of collaboration, however small it may seem, has the potential to generate a considerable impact.”
