La Villa de Sax conmemoraba el Día de la Mujer ofreciendo una variedad de actividades, que se extendían desde el 7 y hasta el 9 de marzo realzando la figura de las féminas y abogando a favor de la igualdad.
El viernes 7 de marzo, la juventud de Sax participó en el «Urban Escape: La Mujer en el Tiempo», una actividad similar a un escape room enfocada en la igualdad de género, llevada a cabo en el Parque de los Príncipes. El mismo día y en la Mayordomía de San Blas se llevaba a cabo, la conferencia titulada “Mujeres Valencianas/Catalanas del Exilio», presentada por la escritora sajeña María Gil Carretero, un acto organizado por la Asociación Sax por la Igualdad.
El sábado 8, la «Batucada por la Igualdad» llenó de ritmo y energía las calles principales de Sax, seguida del espectáculo infantil «De bruja a maga» de Patricia Ferrero en la Plaza Cervantes. Organizado por la Asociación Sax por la Igualdad se daba lectura del manifiesto del 8M en la Plaza de San Sebastián.
Nuestro castillo se vistió de morado para conmemorar el Dia Internacional de la Mujer. Desde lo más alto, este símbolo de nuestra historia nos recuerda que el camino hacia la igualdad sigue en marcha y que cada paso cuenta.
Porque la lucha por los derechos de las mujeres no es cosa de un solo día, sino de cada día. Sigamos construyendo juntos, mujeres y hombres, un futuro más justo y equitativo para todas.
Las celebraciones culminaron el domingo 9 con el homenaje «A ritmo de Mamma Mía», un espectáculo de teatro, música y humor en el Teatro Cervantes.
Los actos siguen este lunes en El IES Pascual Carrión de Sax donde se celebra un recital titulado “La voz de las mujeres” en conmemoración del 8M. Doce alumnos de la asignatura Literatura Universal, de 1° bachillerato, presentarán y recitarán poemas de 24 poetas mujeres ordenadas cronológicamente a lo largo de toda la Historia de la Literatura. El evento tendrá lugar en el patio interior del centro.

Our castle was dressed in purple to commemorate International Women’s Day. From the top, this symbol of our history reminds us that the path to equality is still on the way and that every step counts.

The celebrations culminated on Sunday 9th with the tribute «To the rhythm of Mamma Mía», a show of theater, music and humor at the Cervantes Theater.
The events continue this Monday at the IES Pascual Carrión de Sax where a recital entitled «The voice of women» is held in commemoration of 8M. Twelve students from the Universal Literature course, from the first year of high school, will present and recite poems by 24 female poets, arranged chronologically throughout the history of literature. The event will take place in the inner courtyard of the center.
