En la velada celebrada en el teatro municipal Cervantes de Sax, se congregaron destacados representantes del ámbito deportivo local para participar en la XXVIII edición de la Gala de Entrega de los Premios del Deporte, evento anual auspiciado por el consejo municipal de Deportes y la concejalía de Deportes de Sax.
El evento fue presentado por Carlos Rubio y amenizado por el Dúo Volaire.
18 galardones se entregaban el pasado domingo 8 de diciembre en los deportes, futbol, natación, tenis, BTT, atletismo, automodelismo, ciclismo, frontenis, judo, montañismo, pádel y petanca en sus modalidades locales, autonómicas y nacionales.
Entre los laureados de la noche, a nivel individual fueron, Pablo Murcia Mazón, en ciclismo, Antonio Roses Latorre, en Frontenis, José Antonio Sánchez Pérez, en Futbol Sala, Santiago Pomares Albert, en Judo, Israel Juan Samper, en montaña, José Luis Cruz Benavente, en pádel, y las parejas formadas por, Amado Pérez Méndez y Antonio Joaquín Sarganela Gracia, y Miguel Alberola Reoliz y José Manuel Castillo Iñiguez, en petanca.
En los premios individuales por los ascensos, se galardonaban a Roció Ruiz Diaz y Silvia Herrero Doménech en futbol a nivel autonómico, Felipe Cutillas Marco, en BTT nacional, Iris Castaño Bustos, en natación autonómica y Ángel López Pérez, en futbol a nivel internacional, convirtiéndose en el primer jugador sajeño en jugar en primera división, en Grecia.
Se repartían cuatro premios en la categoría de los reconocimientos deportivos, a los organizadores del Cross Popular Virgen de los Frutos, club Atletismo Sax, al equipo Infantil del Club de Tenis Sax, por el ascenso de categoría, al equipo Cadete de la Unión Deportiva de Futbol Sax, por su ascenso de categoría, y al Club Automodelismo Sax, por la organización del Campeonato de Europa.
También hubo tiempo para las sorpresas y se homenajeaba a la persona de Juan Soriano Mahuenda por su trayectoria deportiva en el mundo del Futbol.
At the evening held at the Cervantes municipal theatre in Sax, prominent representatives of the local sports world gathered to participate in the XXVIII edition of the Sports Awards Gala, an annual event sponsored by the municipal Sports Council and the Sax Sports Department.

Among the winners of the night, at an individual level were Pablo Murcia Mazón, in cycling, Antonio Roses Latorre, in Frontenis, José Antonio Sánchez Pérez, in Indoor Football, Santiago Pomares Albert, in Judo, Israel Juan Samper, in mountain, José Luis Cruz Benavente, in paddle tennis, and the couples formed by, Amado Pérez Méndez and Antonio Joaquín Sarganela Gracia, and Miguel Alberola Reoliz and José Manuel Castillo Iñiguez, in petanque.

Four awards were given out in the category of sporting recognition, to the organisers of the Virgen de los Frutos Popular Cross Country, the Sax Athletics Club, to the Children’s team of the Sax Tennis Club, for promotion to the Cadet team of the Sax Sports Football Union, for promotion to the Sax Automodelling Club, for organising the European Championship.
There was also time for surprises and a tribute was paid to Juan Soriano Mahuenda for his sporting career in the world of football.
