El evento enmarcado dentro de una actividad organizada por el Aula de Cine de la UMU, con la colaboración de la Facultad de Educación y la Facultad de Comunicación y Documentación, el pasado viernes 7 de febrero, el cineasta sajeño volvía a despertar la atención del publico que se congregaba en la Universidad de Murcia, pues su participación no pasó desapercibida, dejando una huella significativa en este evento relevante.
En un auditorio completo se llevaba a cabo la proyección de ‘El arte de la luz y la sombra’, película documental de Miguel Herrero Herrero que recorre la historia del cine y del mundo audiovisual a través de animaciones y entrevistas con varios expertos. La película cuenta con testimonios del historiador y escritor francés Jean Clottes, el ilusionista Juan Tamariz y del primer animador europeo en Disney, Raul García, entre otros muchos.
Tras la proyecccion el sajeño realizaba un coloquio, donde no falto la participacion del publico asistente. Desde la Universidad se mostraba el interes tanto del alumnado como de docentes, «Hemos metido directamente el contenido dentro de la asignatura, en mi caso detalles de creación e investigación plástica, porque trabajamos un poco, pues todo lo que tiene que ver con composición, con iluminación con vídeo para trabajar entonces me parecía como muy interesante que ellos vinieran directamente a formar parte de esto y poder ver de primera mano, no todo lo que es el precinto, que además lo han trabajado en clase no con todos los juguetes ópticos, la linterna mágica no y todos estos artilugios, que son pues precedentes de lo que va a ser luego la imagen, el movimiento no? Y luego también está la parte más audiovisual, no? Que puedan compartir la jornada con un director que tiene experiencia en el medio y puedan aprender también de lo que es la realización de género documental«
Es una película que invita de por sí hay, es totalmente multidisciplinar, pues a diferentes carrera, no diferente, grados, un poco al conocimiento y a la divulgación, no solo ya digo, documental en sí sino también aparte también artística, de que los espectadores van a poder ver los alumnos que obras audiovisuales se hacían, digamos antes del cine y accesibles, incluso.
El largometraje “El arte de la luz y la sombra” del sajeño Miguel Herrero Herrero ya disponible en Amazon Prime Video, Filmin, FlixOlé y Vimeo On Demand. La película sobre los orígenes del cine y los audiovisuales está también recorriendo varias universidades como Salamanca y Murcia con proyecciones y coloquios con el directores.

The event, part of an activity organised by the UMU Film Classroom, in collaboration with the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Communication and Documentation, last Friday, 7 February, the filmmaker from Sajeño once again attracted the attention of the public that gathered at the University of Murcia, as his participation did not go unnoticed, leaving a significant mark on this important event.
The screening of ‘The art of light and shadow’ was held in a full auditorium. This documentary film by Miguel Herrero Herrero covers the history of cinema and the audiovisual world through animations and interviews with various experts. The film includes testimonies from the French historian and writer Jean Clottes, the illusionist Juan Tamariz and the first European animator at Disney, Raul García, among many others.
After the screening, the filmmaker from Sajeño held a discussion, where the participation of the audience was not lacking. The University showed the interest of both students and teachers, «We have directly included the content within the subject, in my case details of creation and plastic research, because we work a bit, well, everything that has to do with composition, with lighting with video to work, so it seemed very interesting to me that they came directly to be part of this and be able to see first hand, not everything that is the seal, which they have also worked on in class, not with all the optical toys, the magic lantern, and all these gadgets, which are then precursors of what will later be the image, the movement, right? And then there is also the more audiovisual part, right? That they can share the day with a director who has experience in the medium and can also learn about what documentary filmmaking is.»
It is a film that invites in itself, it is totally multidisciplinary, because it is inviting to different careers, not different, degrees, a bit to knowledge and dissemination, not only, as I say, documentary itself but also artistic, which the spectators will be able to see. which audiovisual works were made, let’s say before cinema and accessible, even.
