El pasado 17 de diciembre se comunicaba el fallo del consolidado certamen de extraordinaria relevancia a nivel nacional dedicado a la figura de quien fue la senadora palentina Cristina Tejedor, una destacada figura que luchó por la igualdad de género y los colectivos más vulnerables. Por lo que la temática de este certamen se centra en la defensa de la igualdad de oportunidades entre mujeres y hombres, de acuerdo también con la Meta C del Objetivo 5 de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS).
La ganadora de esta edición ha sido la escritora sajeña Carmen Galvañ Bernabé con su relato Lo que esconden las musas, una historia basada en la vida de Madame Henriot, una mujer tan desconocida como poderosa. El jurado estuvo formado por grandes representantes de la cultura, como es la institución Tello Téllez, profesores de literatura y representantes de los diferentes partidos políticos.
En los próximos meses de 2025 se celebrará la entrega de premios en el Salón de Actos del Palacio Provincial de la Diputación de Palencia.
A título personal, la sajeña comenta “recibir reconocimientos en certámenes que fomentan la igualdad de género a través de la literatura es un gran honor para mí, porque supone poner mis letras al servicio de la lucha por la defensa de los valores sociales».
Además, cabe destacar que en el año 2020 Carmen Galvañ recibió el accésit en este mismo certamen por su relato Rostros sin nombre, relato incluido en su libro Brumas de Nostalgia.
Este premio cobra una mayor relevancia porque supone el cincuenta premio literario recibido por la autora, gozando ya de medio centenar de reconocimientos literarios.
En palabras de la escritora sajeña Carmen Galvañ Bernabé «Volver a Palencia es sentir que vuelvo a los orígenes, a aquel año 2016 en el que una joven de 21 años decidía probar suerte con la literatura más allá de la provincia alicantina. Casualidades de la vida, Palencia me animó a iniciar esta carrera y Palencia me concede el premio número cincuenta».
